SC woman charged with killing housemate
CROSS HILL, S.C. (AP) — A 56-year-old South Carolina woman is accused of killing a 37-year-woman after an argument turned physical.
Laurens County Sheriff Ricky Chastain says Kathy Leonard Revan is charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime in the death of Shawn Morrigan.
Morrigan was found dead about 9:30 p.m. Thursday in a home they shared in Mountville near Cross Hill.
Chastain says Revan lived there with her boyfriend, her boyfriend’s daughter and Morrigan.
Laurens County Coroner Nick Nichols says Morrigan moved in last month. A police report says a 911 caller reported that Morrigan had been shot in the leg.
Deputies say when they questioned Revan, she told them she shot Morrigan because they had been fighting all day. It was unclear if she had a lawyer.
