SC Ports Authority to brief business leaders

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Business leaders in Charleston are getting a briefing on activities at the South Carolina Ports Authority and a tour of the Port of Charleston.

The Wednesday event is an annual affair sponsored by the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce.

Topics include new terminal construction, harbor deepening and the port’s efforts to attract new port business.

Besides hearing from ports officials, participants will also take a bus tour of the terminal.
