No foul play in Berkeley inmate’s death
MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (AP) — Berkeley County officials say an autopsy has found no evidence of foul play in the death of an inmate at the jail earlier this week.
The Post and Courier of Charleston reported (http://bit.ly/KLRtfp) the autopsy found no indication of trauma on the body of 32-year-old Jason Stout. Coroner Bill Salisbury says the results of toxicology tests will not be available for several weeks.
Stout was found dead in his cell Wednesday. The sheriff’s office says Stout was being held on a Family Court warrant.
The State Law Enforcement Division is assisting in the investigation.
