Water Line repair in West Columbia Scheduled for December 22

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– A boil water advisory will be in effect Monday, December 22. “¢ All addresses in the 100, 200, and 300 blocks of Midway Road. “¢ All addresses on Long Leaf Court. “¢ All addresses in the Kenwood Subdivision. “¢ All addresses in the 100 and 200 blocks of Andrew Corley Road “¢ All addresses in the 1400 block of Highway 6 (N. Lake Drive) On Monday, A 36-inch water line must be shut off to complete a repair on the large line. Once the water line is repaired and water service is restored, water customers in this area and any water customers near this area who have lost water pressure are advised to vigorously boil their water for at least one (1) full minute prior to drinking or cooking. Also, any ice made from water that has not been boiled should not be used for drinking purposes. Water customers may check the city of West Columbia website at www.westcolumbiasc.gov for updates on the boil water advisory.
