Deputies trying to identify men who attacked elderly woman

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Investigators are asking for your help as they try to figure out the identities of two men allegedly responsible for robbing someone at a local Wal-Mart. On Friday night around 9:30 p.m., Richland County deputies were called to the store at 10060 Two Notch Road. They say before the call, one of the suspects came to a 62-year-old woman and asked her for directions. Then the suspect asked her to come over and tell another person how to get there as well. Investigators say while the woman was giving the second person directions, the first person sprayed the woman in the face. The suspects then allegedly stole her purse and ran away in a white car, possibly a Nissan or a Hyundai Elantra. The victim was taken to a local hospital. Pictures from surveillance video is provided in this story. If you have any information that can help investigators, you are asked to call CrimeStoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
