Ringing in 2014 with ABC Columbia
NEW YORK CITY, NY (CNN/WOLO) – The famous New Year’s Eve ball is in place above Times Square. It will come down at the stroke of midnight. With more than 2,500 Waterford crystal triangles installed on it and weighing nearly 12-thousand pounds, the Times Square ball is a 106-year tradition. About a million people are expected to ring in 2014 in Times Square. Just because you’re not in New York City, doesn’t mean you have to miss all the fun.
