No charges filed in fatal shooting in Orangeburg
NORTH, S.C. (AP) — The Orangeburg County sheriff says there will be no charges filed against a 23-year-old woman who shot and killed her boyfriend during a domestic dispute last weekend.
Sheriff Leroy Ravenell says the woman feared for her life when she shot and killed 24-year-old Jeremy Williamson in North early Sunday morning.
Authorities say Williamson dragged her into a house and punched her in the head. The woman got a gun and Williamson charged at her.
The gun fired, hitting Williamson in the stomach. He died several hours later at the hospital.
