USC Asks for Tuition Time Out

(WOLO) COLUMBIA,S.C. , — The idea was spearheaded by USC President Harris Pastides who is asking lawmakers to take a “time out” on tuition rates and find an alternative way to fund schools for in state students. Right now the rising cost of tuition is a costly burden according to some of the USC freshman we spoke with who say they are trying to focus on their studies and work extra jobs in order to stay at USC. The goal is to find some middle ground to help ease the pressure of paying for schools. USC has reportedly vowed to keep tuition at it’s current rate if the General Assembly can appropriate funds.
