Record Warm December and Entire 2015

You probably don’t need me to tell you that December was warm. In fact it was by far the warmest on record for Columbia. The average temperature was 60.1°.  The long-term average December temperature is 46.7°. So this December was a staggering 13.4° warmer than the long-term average!

And the preliminary numbers are in for all of 2015 for Columbia (the final numbers will take a few more weeks). Based on the preliminary numbers, the average temperature for the year was 66.5°. That ties 2012 and 1990 as the warmest on record.
