Six Arrested in Human Trafficking Sting

The crackdown on human trafficking in South Carolina scored a big win Wednesday. Wednesday afternoon Sheriff Leon Lott and Attorney General Alan Wilson announced the arrest of six people.

Richland Co., S.C. (WOLO)–The crackdown on human trafficking in South Carolina scored a big win Wednesday.  Wednesday afternoon Sheriff Leon Lott and Attorney General Alan Wilson announced the arrest of six people.

Investigators say the suspects were involved in selling underage girls for sex across Richland, Lexington, Orangeburg, and Aiken counties.

According to the attorney general, human trafficking is a $150 billion industry world wide.
