Prices at the Pump rising in the Midlands

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Prices at the pump are going up.

According to GasBuddy, gas prices in Columbia are up nearly six cents in the last week. Drivers in Columbia are paying an average $1.78 per gallon.
The national average is $1.98 per gallon, according to GasBuddy.com.

As we head into Spring, prices are still much lower than this same time last year, when drivers were paying 32 cents more per gallon.
The national average has increased 27.4 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 44.0 cents per gallon lower than this day one year ago according to gasbuddy.
