Spring Equinox
On Saturday night spring arrived. The spring equinox occurred at 12:30 AM on Sunday. That’s when the sun’s rays shine directly over the equator. One interesting factoid about the equinox is that the sun rises directly in the east and sets directly in the west no matter where you are on the globe on the equinox.
The days will continue to get longer (or more precisely, we add more minutes of daylight) from now until the first day of summer, which arrives June 20th.
