Charleston, SC –Ahead of the Michael Slager trial and the Dylann Roof trial in Charleston, Civil Rights Leaders gathered Monday with a message of peace.

Leaders urging people not to come into Charleston and cause trouble.

Civil rights leaders applauding the city for how it has handled the high profile cases and urging there will be peace as the trials get underway.

Pastor Thomas Dixon: “So we’re calling today for everyone in low country and beyond to understand that when other cities have gone low we will continue to go high and that we are strong and we will continue to stand strong and stand up for peace justice and righteousness and that system that we believe in.”
