LEXINGTON, SC (WOLO)-He may be six or so feet tall, he may make a heck of a mess as he creates mayhem, but in the end, he does sing, dance, and clean up after himself.

The Cat in the Hat, along with all his friends from Whoville come to Lexington’s Village Square Theatre for Seussical the Musical.  The show first opened on Broadway in 2000, and has become a favorite of schools and community theatre.

According to VST board member Troy Fite, the show promises to reflect many of the Seuss lessons of life, including never giving up, using your imagination, being loyal, and the fun unexpected places you can find yourself in along the way.

Fite says the show consists of two casts of 45, with performers ranging in age from 5-21, who have all volunteered their time and talent.

The Village Square Theatre production of Seussical the Musical Jr. opens Friday.  For ticket information, click HERE or call 803-359-1436.
