Charlamagne Tha God Talks ‘Black Privilege’ at Book Signing
COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)- Charlamagne Tha God, host of The Breakfast Club, came back to his home state to host a number of book signings.
Many know Charlamagne as the outspoken radio host who has invested in numerous platforms.
On Sunday more than 100 South Carolinians met him at 2nd and Charles bookstore in Columbia at his book signing. Fans got to take pictures and ask questions as he autographed their books.
The new author touched on a number of topics that are mentioned in his book, including his fall out with Wendy Williams.
In the book, Black Privilege, Charalmagne shares his eight principles to unlocking your God-given privilege. He says the book is meant to inspire people despite the obstacles they face.
“It’s a privilege to be black in spite of everything that’s thrown our way, external influences, and external circumstances that really don’t have anything to do with us because all we’re trying to do is live at the end of the day,” Charlamagne said. “So we just have to find strength in who we are, what we are, and find strength in each other.”
Throughout the book, Black Privilege, he tells his unlikely success story as well as how embracing one’s truths is a fundamental key to success and happiness.
