ABC NEWS (NY)COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)- Nikki Haley, U.S. Ambassador to the UN, told the Security Council Monday that its incremental approach toward getting North Korea to stop its nuclear program has failed.
To the members of the Security Council, I must say, enough is enough,” she said at an emergency Security Council meeting, which was called in response to North Korea’s sixth and strongest nuclear test, on Sunday.
“The time has come to exhaust all diplomatic means to end this crisis,” Haley said. “Only the strongest sanctions will enable us to solve this problem through diplomacy.”
The UN Security Council called for a special meeting today, after North Korea said it successfully tested a hydrogen bomb Sunday.
US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley says the country is quote, “begging for war”, as Kim Jung-Un prepares to launch a missile.
North Korea released images of its leader inspecting what they referred to as the hydrogen bomb.
Monday’s emergency session at the UN, was the second in less than a week.
