Traffic Across Midlands Heavy Due to Evacuees Heading Home

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– If you’ve driven anywhere today that involved getting on an interstate you know traffic is certainly an issue.
The SC  Highway Patrol reports heavy congestion on I-77, 1-26, and I-20.
Troopers say the increase in traffic is due to evacuees from Florida and Georgia returning home following Hurricane Irma.
