Belk to layoff 50+ positions in 16 states

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) – Belk is cutting jobs in 16 states.

The Charlotte Observer reports the 58 department store cuts are mostly management positions.

The company says no part time positions will be cut.

Belk operates close to 300 stores, most located in the southeast.
