SC Real ID’S Now Available at DMV

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)–  Real ID’s are now available to South Carolina drivers.
This week Governor Henry McMaster announced the licenses — which are compliant with the Federal Real ID act of 2005 — are now available at DMV’s across the state.
Department of Motor Vehicles Director Kevin Schwedo says the i-d’s are available but are by no means a requirement.
Real ID laws do not go into affect until September 30, 2020.
