CPD searching for individuals involved in shooting on King Street

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – The Columbia Police Department has released surveillance video of an active shooting in efforts to find the individuals responsible.

The shooting occurred on the intersection of King and Bratton Streets around 2:30 a.m. on May 11.

Columbia Police responded to the location after receiving a ShotSpotter notification.

The video shows one vehicle approach King Street while a suspect hangs out the passenger side window and shoots toward a home and other property.

Then, a second car with a passenger in the backseat, repeats the criminal act. An unidentified male is seen running after the vehicles, shooting another firearm.

There were no reports of any injuries, however bullets partially damaged vehicle windows and homes.

Officers collected valuable evidence at the scene.
