Gov. McMaster declares state of emergency in response to Monday’s storms, tornadoes

Columbia, S.C. (WOLO)–Wednesday Gov. Henry McMaster declared a state of emergency in response to Monday’s storms which included 11 tornadoes according to The National Weather Service.

According to the South Carolina Emergency Management Division the storms damaged at least 911 homes in 21 counties.

Nine people were killed in the storms.
