Lexington County deputies and SCDNR discuss proper boat safety ahead of Memorial Day weekend

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Lexington County deputies want to make sure you’re safe on the water this Memorial Day weekend. Thursday morning, the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, along with the Department of Natural Resources took time to discuss proper boating safety measures before you hit the water.

Deputies say there will be extra patrols on the water this weekend as well.

SCDNR is also offering free boating safety checks this weekend.
