Celebrating 60 years with 23 shows in one night at The VST

Tyler Ryan learns about the 60th year anniversary show with the Village Square Theater

LEXINGTON SC (WOLO) – 2022 marks the 60th year that the community has had the opportunity to trod the board at the Village Square Theater, the premiere non-profit theater in Lexington.

To celebrate the diamond anniversary, the cast, crew, directors, and set builders, who all volunteer their time, are busy rehearsing for  a big show opening this weekend.  According to VST Board Member Troy Fite, the show that runs through February 13, includes a review of the very best songs from over 20 of the most popular musicals of all time.

Fite says that the show, which is for all ages, includes 50 cast members of all ages, and promises to be a super fun time.  He also points out that because the theater is non-profit, the only way they pay the light bills is by selling tickets.

The Diamond Anniversary Spectacular at the Village Square Theater has shows February 5 and 6, and February 10 – 13.  You can find ticket info HERE.
