CPD: Collision destroys power pole; eastbound lane of Broad River Rd. closed

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Columbia Police say the eastbound lane of Broad River Road is closed after an overnight collision destroyed a power pole.

It happened near Beatty Road & Connie Drive.

Officers say Dominion Energy is working to fix the malfunctioning traffic lights in that area.

This incident is still under investigation as they work to clean up the damage.
