NTSB investigating fatal small plane crash in Orangeburg

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– The Federal Aviation Administration says a pilot is dead following a small plane crash in Orangeburg over the weekend.
The National Transportation Safety Board says the crash, of a Beech B35 aircraft, happened on Saturday.
According to the FAA, a single-engine Beechcraft BE-35 crashed in a field about six miles from Orangeburg Municipal Airport in South Carolina around 10:20 a.m.
The administration says one person was on board the aircraft as it took off from Lowcountry Regional Airport in Walterboro, South Carolina and was headed to Jim Hamilton – LB Owens Airport in Columbia, South Carolina.
The NTSB is investigating this incident.
