Columbia man sentenced on drug trafficking, firearm charges
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— A 28 year-old Columbia man was sentenced to over six years in federal prison after pleading guilty to possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of a firearm in connection with a drug trafficking crime.
Kendell Deion Pollock was arrested after Columbia officers saw him and another man on Nov. 12, 2020 riding in a car believed to be connected to a robbery in the Marlboro Street area.
Police searched the car due to a strong odor of marijuana coming from it.
A firearm with ammunition, marijuana, and other drug paraphernalia was found in the car, according to the Department of Justice.
Pollock had previous convictions for burglary and drug possession.
