Uber launches teen accounts in Columbia
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— Parents in the Midlands can now set up Uber accounts for their teens.
Starting today the company says parents can help teens set up accounts on the ride-share app that include additional safety features like live trip tracking, pin number verification, unexpected event alerts, and audio recordings of the trips.
These features can not be turned off by the teen, the driver, or the parent. The product is available for teens ages 13 to 17.
You can learn more about how the account works and get answers to questions on the teen accounts information page.
