New jobs, millions in investment coming to Richland Co.
Columbia, S.C. (WOLO)–185 new jobs are coming to the Midlands.
Tuesday afternoon the governor’s office announced TMC Transportation is expanding its Richland County operations.
The move includes an investment of $38 million.
Officials say the move will consolidate the trucking company’s three midlands operations into one facility on Shop Rd.
In a press release Gov. McMaster says, “With two-thirds of the U.S. population within a two-day drive of South Carolina, this is the ideal place for trucking companies to thrive. We look forward to seeing TMC Transportation continue to develop and build on its rich history in South Carolina.”
Operations at the new facility are expected to get underway in 2025.
