COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– On Monday at the State House a heartfelt tribute was paid to all veterans as they were remembered and honored.

The 17th annual State House “Wreaths Across America” ceremony took place at the State Veterans Memorial.

During the ceremony, speakers highlighted the numerous freedoms people enjoy today thanks to the sacrifices of past and present veterans.

Carol Davis with Wreaths Across America expressed her desire to inspire the community to ho belong simply attending ceremonies and instead actively support veterans in need.

The 15th annual Fort Jackson National Cemetery “Wreaths Across America” ceremony will be this Saturday.
