I-20 bridge remains closed heading into holiday weekend

Kershaw Co., S.C. (WOLO)–Just in time for the peak holiday travel season the bridge over the Wateree river remains closed.
The Department of Transportation says crews have been working around the clock since Thursday to repair the structure underneath the bridge.
Officials are asking drivers to avoid the area for the safety of the crews working there.
If you do need to travel that way detours are set up and law enforcement is on hand directing traffic.
A spokesperson for the SCDOT says they estimate the repair process to last at least a week.
