SCAG: Midlands man facing child sex abuse charges

Lexington Co., S.C. (WOLO)–The SC Attorney General’s Office says a West Columbia man is facing five charges in connection with the sexual exploitation of minors.
Investigators say William Shuford, 71,  was arrested last week after they say he traveled to meet someone he believed to be a minor for sex.
Officials say he also distributed files of child sexual abuse material.
Shuford had been previously convicted of similar charges in 2002.
