Former SC police chief sentenced to 15 years for multi-victim sextortion scheme

 

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– A former Pine Ridge police chief was sentenced to 15 years in prison by a judge on Thursday morning for his role in a multi-victim sextortion scheme.
Investigators say William Parker plea guilty to sending threatening emails, texts, and voice messages in 2021 and 2022 to multiple female victims.
Also that Parker demanded the victims to produce and send pornographic videos and photographs or he would harm them and their families.
Parker also admitted to having non-consensual sex with the victims.
The judge in the case ordered him to pay thousands of dollars in restitution.
