Firefighters work to control early morning fire
RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Columbia-Richland Firefighters got a fire under control early Thursday morning, says the department.
The department says firefighters responded to a home on Eileen Street near Garners Ferry Road after it caught fire this morning shortly before 9 a.m.
When they arrived to the scene, smoke and fire could been seen throughout the home.
Firefighters quickly established a water supply and knocked the fire down in several areas of the home as well as the attic.
According to the fire department, No one appears to have been home at the time of the fire.
The Richland County Fire Marshal’s Office will be looking into what caused the fire.
