Makeover Monday: How were statues made? They were sculpted, of course
Tyler Ryan learns about how to get rid of those last few pesky pounds by taking a little "You Time"
IMRO SC (WOLO) – If you have ever successfully battled the bulge, you likely know how hard those last few pounds or that last inch can be to lose. The Team at Vivid Aesthetics, led by Shelley Simmons and Andrea Sarata may have just what the doctor (no pun intended) ordered, in a procedure called TruSculpt.
According to Andrea Sarata, who is a Physicians Assistant and co-founder, the procedure is “non-invasive body contouring that is meant for people who are either at or near their goal weight.” She explains that it is not for overall weight loss, adding that “once you’ve done the work…we can target those areas that are hard to target with diet and exercise.”
Always the guinea pig, I decided to take a ride to see exactly what it was all about, and I found it to be warm, which tracks with how Nurse Practitioner and co-founder Shelley Simmons explains what is happening scientifically. “You’re really talking about heat,” she says, “through radiofrequency, you don’t need to open the body, you just use heat.” From there, she explains, your fat melts away over the next few months.
As far as results, which again come after a few months, and, of course, continued diet, exercise, and drinking water, you can see as much as a 25% reduction in overall fat.
Simmons and Sarata explain that the treatment takes about 15 minutes, and there is really no downtime, which means “you can go back to work, or right to the beach.” They also point out that this isn’t just for the ladies anymore. There is a large number of men, who have traditionally not practiced “self care” or “me time,” who are really focused on overall health and wellness, and that includes melting away a touch of the love handles…after all, beauty may be a little more than only skin deep.
