Update — West Columbia parks reopen after temporary weather closings

Updated 3pm 03/16/25:

WEST COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) — According to the City of West Columbia, the following parks are now open after being closed for safety and cleanup for the weather event:

    • B Avenue Ball Park
    • Bark West Dog Park
    • Carraway Park at the Riverwalk
    • Douglas Reeves Community Park
    • Fowler Community Park
    • Rosamunda Percell-Butler Community Park
    • West Columbia Riverwalk Amphitheater and Parking Lot

The following will remain closed due to damage from Hurricane Helene:

    • Moffatt Street Entrance to the Riverwalk
    • West Columbia Riverwalk – 109 Alexander Road

WEST COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) — According to the City of West Columbia, all City parks will close beginning Sunday, March 16 due to the threat of inclement weather.

The City will notify the public when the parks reopen.

Parks Affected:

  • B Avenue Ball Park
  • Bark West Dog Park
  • Carraway Park at the Riverwalk
  • Douglas Reeves Community Park
  • Fowler Community Park
  • Rosamunda Percell-Butler Community Park
  • West Columbia Riverwalk Park and Amphitheater
  • Moffatt Street Entrance to the Riverwalk
