UPDATE: Sumter Co. deputies say two teens were arrested Wednesday in connection with the shooting.

A 17 year old was charged with Murder, Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime, and Possession of a Stolen Gun.

Deputies say a 15 year old was charged with Accessory After the Fact.

 

SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Sumter County deputies are investigating a fatal Tuesday afternoon shooting after an altercation between acquaintances turned deadly, said officials.

Sumter County Dispatch received a report of a shooting near Old Manning Road at about 2:58 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1.

Deputies said they responded to the scene and found one victim deceased.

The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating and searching for suspects involved in the incident.
