Delta, United Airlines sued for window seats

(CNN)– Should a window seat include a window?

That’s the multi-million dollar question being asked by a group of airline passengers.

They are part of two class action lawsuits accusing Delta Airlines and United Airlines of knowingly charging extra money for window seats that weren’t actually next to a window.

According to the lawsuits, Delta passengers can be charged an extra $70 for a window seat while United passengers can pay an extra $50 or more.

Due to the placement of air conditioning or electrical components some of the airlines’ jets contain so-called window seats that are actually next to walls.
