Scout Motors continues to create jobs in Palmetto State

 

 

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Scout Motors continues to create jobs in the Palmetto State.

Monday afternoon, Dec.8, Governor Henry McMaster, Congressman Jim Clyburn and company officials celebrated the establishment of the new Sodecia facility in Orangeburg.

Officials say the $120 million dollar investment will create nearly 400 new jobs.

The Portuguese based company will serve as a parts supplier for Scout Motors.

Construction on the new facility is expected to be complete in 2027.
