Tyler’s Travels: Get off Broadway and hit up Odie’s

The Tyler's Travels Team found one of Nashville's local gems off the main drag

NASHVILLE TN (WOLO) – For decades, Nashville Tennessee has been the home of Country Music, hosting nearly 17 million tourists each year, who come to listen to music, celebrate weddings, and walk in the footsteps of the history of the genre.

Broadway (not the NYC one) is generally considered Ground Zero for all things in town, and visitors to town flock to the street that is the home of too many bars and music venues to count, but there are many hidden gems that are located “off Broadway,” which are often frequented by locals or people in the know.

Odies Bar is one such venue that is quickly becoming a “must do” stop on any vacation itinerary.   Odie’s, the nick-name of the fans of it’s creators, County Superstars Old Dominion, open in April of 2025, and immediately made a name for itself as a “good time” bar, taking after it’s namesakes.

The vision of the venue was a place to bring together songwriters, musicians, music fans, music executives, and of course, locals, where both new artists and stars can hang out, hop on a stage, or simply relax and catch a game on one of the big screens on the outdoor patio.

In a town full of honkytonks and tons of talent, most of which are playing hit covers, Odie’s offers a difference experience, where up and coming artists, who yes, play fan favorites, are asked to play their own songs as well.

The next time you find yourself in Nashville, for business, fun, or a bachelorette party, take a trip off the strip and find Odie’s, in the heart of Midtown, two blocks from Music Row.

Odies is located at 1919 Division Street in Nashville.  You can find more info HERE.
