New liquor liability laws in effect in SC

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– New liquor liability laws are now in effect in South Carolina and service workers across the state must now be certified.

State lawmakers are trying to get businesses and service workers an extension on the certification deadline pushing it from Monday to May 1st.

However, it still needs approval from the Senate.

The alcohol certification trains those who serve alcohol in identifying whether someone should be served or should be cut off.
