Woman stabbed during altercation inside home identified

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has released the name of the woman who was stabbed during an altercation, says the coroner’s office.

According to Coroner Fisher, the woman was stabbed during an altercation at a home in the 100 block of Marshall Road in the Gaston area of Lexington County on Friday, May 1, 2026, at around 03:20 a.m.

The woman was identified as Gabrielle Marie Cribb, 22, of Lexington.

Cribb was taken to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead due to multiple stab wounds.

An autopsy has been scheduled at MUSC in Charleston, for Monday, May 4, 2026, at 08:30 a.m.

The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department and the Lexington County Coroner’s Office continue to investigate the stabbing.
