Governor issues executive order calling Lawmakers back for Special Session Friday
COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Lawmakers will reconvene in a special session Friday at 11am after Governor Henry McMaster issued an Executive Order.
The governor says the extra session will be used for lawmakers to take up the General Appropriations Act and continue consideration of South Carolina’s congressional districts.
This comes after the state senate voted not to take up a special session on redistricting.
This is the first time the governor has called for a special session since 2023.
