UPDATE: Arrest made in Ole Place shooting that left 24-year-old woman dead, 2 others wounded

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) — The Columbia Police Department has arrested 33-year-old Marvin Edmond in connection with Sunday morning’s fatal shooting at The New Ole Place bar, located at 3311 Two Notch Road.
Officers say a fight broke out inside the establishment, with the altercation leading to shots being fired by Edmond.
Two women and one man were struck by gunfire. Both women were critically wounded and a man had non-life threating injuries.
Police say one victim has since died from their injuries. According to Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford, the victim has been identified as 24-year-old Columbia resident Taniya Hall.
According to CPD, Edmond is charged with:
• Murder
• Two (2) counts of Attempted Murder
• Possession of a Firearm During a Violent Crime
• Possession of a Handgun by a Person Prohibited
