Plea hearing scheduled for suspect in officer-involved shooting

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) — According to Sheriff Leon Lott with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department, a plea hearing for 19-year-old Jeremy Taylor will be held on Monday at 9:30 a.m. inside the Richland County Courthouse.

RCSD reports that Taylor is charged with Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime, Unlawful Injury or Death to Police Dog, Attempted Murder, Failure to Stop for Blue Lights, Pointing and Presenting, Possession of Stolen Handgun in reference to an Officer Involved Shooting that occurred March 14, 2024 and injured K9 Kobe.
