Richland County issues boil water advisory for Pond Drive customers
RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Richland County Utilities (RCU) advises customers on Pond Drive, near Eastover in Southeast Richland County to boil their water.

Officials say customers should boil their water for at least one full minute before drinking, cooking, or using water to make ice for beverages.
This includes water for pets also.
On the night of Monday, July 27, a resident of Pond Drive notified RCU that there was no water at their home, say officials.
RCU found that a valve for a tank on Pond Drive had cracked and was leaking water.
There has been no confirmed contamination of the water system, and RCU maintenance, and operations teams are actively working to repair the leak.
However, because of potential for contamination, as a precaution, a boil water advisory is in effect until further notice.
RCU will lift the advisory and notify customers when water testing has been completed and boiling water is no longer necessary.
