Coroner releases Deputy Jillian Olson’s cause of death

Lexington Co., S.C. (WOLO)– Thursday the Lexington County Coroner announced the official cause of death for Deputy Jillian Olson.
Coroner Margaret Fisher says Olson’s cause of death was fresh water drowning.
Fisher says the circumstances that lead to the drowning remain under investigation by the Department of Natural Resources, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, as well as the Lexington County Coroner’s Office.
Officials say Deputy Olson died on july 30th during a training exercise on lake murray.
