SC woman drowns in Lake Murray

LEXINGTON, S.C. (AP) — A Batesburg-Leesville woman has drowned in Lake Murray.

Lexington County Coroner Harry Harman says the victim was 43-year-old Kathryn Michelle Greene.

Harman says Greene was swimming near a boat dock when she disappeared beneath the surface Tuesday afternoon.

The sheriff’s department dive team found Greene’s body in about 9 feet of water.
