4-H meeting wraps up at Clemson University
CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) — Nearly 100 young people from across South Carolina are finishing their annual 4-H meeting at Clemson University.
The 50th annual State 4-H Congress wraps up Saturday.
The meeting includes activities centered on leadership, citizenship, community service and preparation to enter the workforce. The high school delegates represent more than 73,000 4-H participants in about half of South Carolina’s counties.
The theme of this year’s meeting is “Join the Revolution: Using History to Plan Our Future.” Organizers say it focuses on the strength of the Clemson brand and the legacy of leadership the 4-H program has strived to instill in young people.
Events include workshops on marketing, service projects and a keynote address from state Sen. Larry Martin, R-Pickens.
