Presidential Conventions

(WOLO) COLUMBIA,S.C., — Time is winding down and in just a few short months you will head to the polls to vote in the Presidential Election. Tuesday night, The GOP delegation held a meet and greet to get voters fired up for their upcoming national convention in Tampa, Florida. South Carolina GOP Chair, Chad Connelly says it’s time to stop talking and start acting. The Convention will give their party a chance to do just that as they hold political meetings, parties and discussions on plans to make sure Presidential Candidate MItt Romney wins the White House. Amanda Loveday, with the South Carolina Democratic party says they too are gearing up for a convention in Charlotte to do much of the same. While the president is focused on key battleground states, Loveday says “The President has not forgotten how much the state of South Carolina helped him out during the 2008 election. And he hasn’t forgotten how important our help will be to win North Carolina.” Republicans head to their convention in Florida at the end of this month. Democrats head to Charlotte later in September.
