Tornado in West Columbia Today
Today’s line of thunderstorms produced a tornado today in West Columbia. Here’s the map that the National Weather Service sent out.
The tornado was categorized as an EF0. That scale goes from EF0 to EF5. So it was on the lowest end of the scale. Despite that, it still caused a fair amount of damage at a car lot. And check out these pictures taken by Misty Dyer near the North Edisto Rd south of Batesburg-Leesville.
On Thursday, a survey team from the National Weather Service will go out and assess this damage to figure out if a tornado caused it.
